FE Civil Exam Studio (examstudio.review) is a practice tool for the NCEES FE Civil exam. We keep as little as we can: enough to sign you in and save your progress. We do not sell data, show ads, or use tracking or analytics cookies.
Without an account
As a guest, nothing is sent to our server. Your test lives in this browser tab and is gone when you close it.
What we store when you sign in
| Data | Why | Kept |
|---|---|---|
| Your email address | To send sign-in links and identify your account | Until you delete the account |
| Saved tests: which questions you got (a template id and a number that regenerates each one), your answers and timing | History, review and analytics | Until you delete the account |
| Profile details you enter (name, exam date, discipline) and Handbook page pins | Shown back to you | Until you delete the account |
| Reports when a question fails to generate (question id, error text) | To find and fix broken questions | Until you delete the account |
| Sign-in link records (a one-way hash of the link, your email, and a one-way hash of your IP address) | To make links single-use and to limit abuse | 2 days |
A session cookie (__Host-fe_session) | Keeps you signed in; it is the only cookie we set | 30 days, or until you sign out |
What stays on your device
Practice problems you upload and the FE Reference Handbook PDF you open are kept in your browser only. They are never sent to our server.
Services we use
- Cloudflare hosts the site and the database. Like any web host, it handles your IP address to deliver pages.
- Resend sends sign-in emails, so it receives your email address and the link.
- Google Fonts and cdnjs (Cloudflare) serve the fonts and the PDF viewer, so your browser contacts them when the app loads.
Download or delete your data
Sign in, open Account, and use Download my data (a JSON file with everything above) or Delete account. Deleting removes your account and every record tied to it, at once and permanently. You can also email [email protected].
Children
The service is meant for engineering students and graduates and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date above changes with it. Significant changes will also be noted in the app.
